Salary: £168.80-261.79 per day (includes statutory holiday pay)

About the Role

Cover People are currently recruiting for a PE Teacher to join an oversubscribed, welcoming secondary academy (11-16) based in Didsbury, South Manchester, starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum!

This position allows you to make a positive impact in a long term role, delivering engaging cover lessons to 11-16 year olds. ECT 1’s and ECT 2’s will be allocated a supportive mentor to complete at least one full term.

M1-M6 teachers will be paid to scale starting from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching in line with national curriculum standards
• Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Support the academic and personal development of all learners

Requirements

• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
• Experience teaching KS3 & GCSE PE & General Cover
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A passion for teaching and pupil progress
• Right to work in the UK
