Position: Caretaker

Location: Gilbrook School, Wirral, Merseyside, North West, CH49 8H, UK.

Salary: £32,821 per year (estimated).

Contract type: Fixed Term (10 August 2026 – 09 August 2027). Possible permanent after a 12‑month review.

Working hours: 27.5 hours per week on a 52‑week per year basis.

Role Summary

We are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic and self‑motivated caretaker to join our friendly and committed team at our outstanding school.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment for pupils.
• Proactively support pupils’ needs and show empathy.
• Multitask to support school operations, including housekeeping, cleaning and general maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Enhanced Level DBS check – required for all applicants.
• Organised, proactive and self‑motivated with the ability to multitask.
• Showing caring nature and empathy towards pupils’ needs.
