Job Description:

Do you have a wide range of trade skills, a commitment to delivering high quality repairs, and the ability to provide excellent customer service? We’re looking for a Kitchen Fitter to join our planned projects team and support the delivery of first class construction and maintenance services across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington. This is a mobile role, requiring flexibility to work across multiple locations in line with business needs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out complex maintenance and construction activities in your core trade, while delivering additional tasks in at least one other discipline such as Joinery, Plumbing, Plastering or Tiling.
  • Carry out full and partial kitchen installations, including removal of existing units, preparation works, and fitting of new kitchens to specification.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and teams to ensure timely and coordinated kitchen replacement programmes.
  • Install kitchen units, worktops, and associated joinery components to a high standard, ensuring accurate measurements and finishes.
  • Support associated duties including plastering and painting to contribute to our ‘one job one visit’ approach.
  • Plan and organise work effectively, ensuring efficient use of time, materials, transport and equipment.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards, health and safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Operate within scheduled appointment systems, liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Supervise and support apprentices, trainees and other employees as required.
  • Undertake diagnostic and pre‑measuring work to scope and complete repairs accurately.
  • Use IT systems to receive instructions, update job information and order materials.
  • Make informed decisions regarding repair requirements, communicating clearly with customers when follow up work is needed.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and contribute to ongoing competency and development programmes.
  • Drive company vehicles safely and maintain stock, tools and equipment to required standards.
  • Manage materials effectively, minimising waste and ensuring appropriate specifications are used.
  • Work collaboratively with Schedulers, Planners, CLOs and other teams to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Uphold high standards of customer care, safety, quality and performance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment within customers’ homes throughout the installation process.
  • Provide excellent customer service, keeping customers informed and ensuring minimal disruption during works.
  • Participate in out of hours rotas where required (additional payment applies).

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Joinery (essential).
  • NVQ Level 2 in a secondary discipline (desirable).
  • CSCS card at the appropriate level.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Time served apprenticeship.
  • Strong experience in joinery, building maintenance and construction.
  • Good customer care skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible approach to varied duties and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
