Trainee Lifeguard

Position: Trainee Lifeguard

Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Learn the lifeguard ropes, including pool safety and first aid.
• Keep an eye on swimmers, respond quickly to incidents, and ensure a safe, fun environment.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting guests with inquiries and concerns.

Requirements

• Previous lifeguard experience is valued but not essential; training will be provided.
• Ready to learn, stay alert, and respond confidently in any situation.
• Friendly and approachable attitude with good communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in swimming:
  • Jump/dive into deep water.
  • Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds.
  • Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water.
  • Tread water for 30 seconds.
  • Surface dive to the floor of the pool.
  • Climb out unaided without a ladder or steps where the pool design permits.
• Undergo and satisfactorily complete an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
