Days of Working: This position will be based at Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham, working Monday to Friday – relief 16:00 – 19:00.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with other staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Remove waste regularly, ensuring correct use of bags, labeling, and disposal in designated waste bins; secure clinical waste bags with correct tape and color coding according to hospital procedures.
- Use all chemicals and cleaning agents safely and economically, following manufacturer’s instructions and only using chemicals supplied by the business.
- Undertake deep clean, clinical clean, admission and infection cleans as required by infection control procedures, including removal, laundering, and hanging of curtains.
- Report immediately to the Hotel Services Team Leader any defective machinery for further reporting to the Estates Department for repair.
Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
- GCSE level education, including Maths and English.
- Experience and knowledge of computer technologies.
- Knowledge of National Standards of Cleanliness and understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
