Pay & Hours
Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. A minimum of 16 hours per week is guaranteed, though roles from 12 hours are also available.
Hours & Notice
Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
- Lead the team to deliver a great customer experience in-store.
- Work across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries.
- Build positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
- Confidently lead the store in the Manager’s absence.
- Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
- Coach colleagues, give feedback and role‑model great service.
- Stay curious and seek opportunities to serve customers, communities and the planet better each day.
- Communicate clearly, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
- Motivate and inspire the team to deliver outstanding results.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- A strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
- Ability to build positive, long‑lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
