Relief Retail Security Officer

About The Role

We’re looking for a confident, approachable Retail Security Officer who brings energy, professionalism and a calm presence to the shop floor. This role varies daily as you protect people, prevent loss and create a safe, positive shopping experience for customers and colleagues. Flexible shifts will be discussed at interview to fit your lifestyle.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body‑Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

What You’ll Need

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training – we can support you)
• A full 5‑year checkable employment or education history (essential for vetting)
• A proactive, professional and customer‑focused approach
