Elite Security Officer
£16.00 per hour
As an Elite Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding high‑value assets, personnel and premises through advanced security protocols and proactive threat mitigation. This role demands exceptional situational awareness, professionalism and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to incidents.
Job Overview
- Protect customers’ property, people and assets across designated locations in accordance with published Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Deliver results that meet or exceed the key performance indicators and service level agreements for the customer.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
- Be able to travel to different locations within the predetermined geographical area.
Main Duties
Operations
- Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements, UK law and guidance bodies.
- Completely and satisfactorily execute all tasks and duties defined in the Assignment Instructions.
- Review and suggest amendments to the Assignment Instructions to improve service level.
- Comply with industry legislation; wear the front‑line licence in Door Supervision at all times during duties.
- Follow procedures accurately and refrain from unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly manner.
Training
- Complete all required competency training satisfactorily.
- Undertake additional training directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continuous professional development.
- Renew licence at least 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Identify and immediately report any health and safety hazards on site.
- Remain alert to threats or environmental changes to respond appropriately.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
- Record incidents in a detailed notebook promptly; use as part of the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are conducted at allocated times as specified in the Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous security experience
- SIA licence (Door Supervisor preferable)
- Own transport or reliable access to public transport
