Role Description
This full-time Bathroom Sales Assistant role is a on-site position based in Romford. On a day-to-day basis, you will welcome customers into the showroom, listen to their requirements, and guide them through bathroom product options, styles, and layouts. You will prepare quotations, process orders accurately, and coordinate with suppliers and installers to ensure timely deliveries and correct specifications. The role includes maintaining an organized, presentable showroom, updating product displays and brochures, and handling customer inquiries by phone, email, and online channels. You will also support basic administrative tasks, follow up on leads, and contribute to achieving sales targets while providing a positive, professional experience for every customer.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to build rapport, understand needs, and provide supportive guidance throughout the buying process.
- Clear, confident communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain product features, options, and pricing in an accessible way.
- Sales skills to identify opportunities, present solutions, handle objections, and help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Good organization skills to manage quotes, orders, stock information, and follow-ups while handling multiple customer enquiries.
- Comfort using basic computer systems (e.g., email, order-entry software, spreadsheets) and willingness to learn showroom or design tools.
- Previous experience in retail, bathroom or kitchen sales, or a related home‑improvement environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a reliable, punctual, and professional approach.
- Flexibility to work core showroom hours, including weekends as required, and to adapt to changing customer and business needs.
