We are seeking an Trainee Welderbased in Banbridge to be part of our growing team.

| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with guidance from experienced team members.
  • Work closely with experienced welders and fabricators to develop welding and fabrication skills.
  • Safely operate welding equipment, machinery and hand tools following training and company procedures.
  • Support the inspection and checking of welds and fabricated components to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Visually inspect welds to determine compliance with standards
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, take instruction and continually develop technical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Contribute positively as part of a busy team, maintaining high standards of workmanship and housekeeping.
  • Assist with general workshop duties and support all areas of the workshop as required.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.

| EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE |Essential

  • 6 months experience fabricating/welding with stainless-steel or carbon steel pipe
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, with a willingness to develop fabrication and welding skills.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.

Desirable

  • Have completed a welding course

  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Willingness to maintain good housekeeping & safe working environment
  • Excellent attitude to Health, Safety and Quality standards
