The RoleAs Managing Director, you will take full P&L accountability and bridge the gap between our family heritage and modern corporate governance. Your mandate is clear: protect what makes us great while systematically updating our systems, automating legacy processes, and expanding our market reach. You will lead an experienced team through its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand Market Share: Secure new multimodal freight opportunities and develop high-value shipper relationships.
- Nurture the Culture: Act as a trusted partner to family shareholders, introducing modern management practices while respecting the company’s roots.
- Ensure Compliance: Overlook absolute compliance with UK customs, BIFA/FIATA rules, and AEO standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Freight Industry Experts: 10+ years of deep experience in international freight forwarding, multimodal transport, and customs clearance.
- Proven Change Leaders: A track record of modernising an SME or family-owned logistics business through digital transformation.
- Executive Leaders: Minimum 5 years of senior management experience with direct P&L ownership.
- Experience: Exceptional industry experience. A proven track record of real-world results matters most to us.
- Diplomats & Communicators: The emotional intelligence required to lead and respect a business environment.
