Assistant Accountant

Bangor (BT19)

Salary negotiable DOE

McKinty Associates are delighted to be working with a multi-site construction business who have an immediate need for an experienced Assistant Accountant. Reporting into the Financial Controller the main requirement for the role is as follows:

  • Purchase Ledger
    • Posting invoices
    • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Sales Ledger
    • Calculating and reconciling works schedule
    • Raising invoicing
    • Posting receipts
  • Accounts payable
    • Maintaining supplier payment schedule
    • Processing and Reconciling supplier payments
  • Processing and payment of wages
  • Processing and payment of Subcontractors
  • HMRC/PAYE Monthly returns
  • CIS Returns
  • Month End
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Analysis and reporting on Project performance
  • Other adhoc duties as required

Eligibility criteria:

  • Qualification – we will consider someone who is qualified by experience or Accounting Technician(AAT / ATI Qualified)
  • Previous Construction experience (Desirable)
  • Experience working as part of a busy finance team (Minimum 3 years)
  • Previous construction experience
  • Practical knowledge of computerised accounts packages
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
