The RoleWorking closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll play a hands-on role across transactional finance, month-end processes and commercial reporting. This suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety day to day, and wants to build a career within a growing group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts across multiple entities
  • Support purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll processes
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank accounts on a regular basis
  • Assist with VAT returns, Intrastat and fixed asset management
  • Support month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with credit control and customer account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy finance or accounts environment
  • Experience using Sage 200
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressured, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
