About you

  • Proven experience in a HSE advisory or leadership role within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification (desirable)
  • Membership of IOSH or similar professional body (desirable)

What you’ll do

  • Lead and continually improve the organisation’s HSE management systems, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Act as a visible safety champion, promoting a positive safety culture through training, engagement, and behavioural safety initiatives.
  • Support operational teams in embedding HSE requirements into daily processes and decision-making.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
  • Manage environmental compliance activities, including waste management and sustainability initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programmes to enhance employee awareness and competency.
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and prepare reports to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support audits for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification and ensure documentation remains audit-ready.
