Associate Financial Planner
Northleach, Gloucestershire
Up to £50,000 | Fully Funded Diploma | Structured Pathway to Becoming a Regulated Adviser
Salary: £35–£50k (depending on experience) plus bonus
Are you already working in financial planning, or have you built a successful career elsewhere and feel ready for something more rewarding?
Perhaps you’ve started your journey towards becoming a Financial Adviser, or you’ve developed exceptional client relationship skills in another professional environment.
The opportunity
de Lisle Financial Planning is an established business that prides itself on building long-term relationships with clients, delivering highly personal financial advice, and taking a genuinely client-first approach.
You’ll work closely with the Managing Director, an experienced Chartered & Certified Financial Planner, and the Practice Manager, learning the profession from the ground up. This is a role built on substance as much as client contact — you’ll get fully immersed in the administration, research, and planning process that underpins every piece of advice, giving you a genuine, practical understanding of how financial planning really works rather than just a surface-level view.
As your knowledge, confidence and qualifications develop, there is the opportunity to progressively take on greater responsibility for client relationships and planning work.
If you’re looking for a long-term career rather than just your next job, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
Initially you will:
- Attend client meetings, taking notes and building client relationships.
- Prepare meeting documentation and complete follow-up actions.
- Research financial planning solutions and product providers.
- Liaise with clients, providers, and professional connections.
- Work alongside outsourced technical paraplanners to help deliver excellent client outcomes.
- Support the ongoing administration and servicing of client relationships.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you’ll take on greater client-facing responsibility, potentially including leading client meetings and, over time, holding responsibility for specific client relationships.
What we’re looking for
We’d like someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, is highly organised, and takes real pride in getting the details right.
You’ll have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A client servicing mindset.
- Strong organisational skills and a methodical, detail-focused approach — this role involves a genuine mix of administration and client contact.
- The ability to research information and follow through on agreed actions.
- A professional, personable, and caring approach.
Experience within financial services, accountancy, or another professional services environment would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
Above all, we’re looking for someone with a genuine client-first mindset who wants to build a long-term career in financial planning.
What you’ll receive
- Salary £35,000–£50,000 depending on experience, plus bonus.
- Fully funded professional qualifications, including the Diploma in Financial Planning.
- Ongoing mentoring from an experienced Chartered Financial Planner.
- A structured pathway towards becoming a regulated adviser.
- The opportunity to take on increasing client responsibility as your experience and qualifications develop.
- A supportive, relationship-focused working environment.
- Long-term career progression within a respected independent financial planning firm.
