An excellent opportunity for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join a substantial and complex organisation based in Lincolnshire. This broad position offers exposure to domestic and international contracts, regulatory matters and wider business‑critical legal work.
The role would suit an experienced private practice lawyer making their first move in‑house, or an existing in‑house counsel looking for greater variety and commercial exposure.
Our client is a large manufacturer and established organisation with extensive UK operations and international commercial relationships. It operates in a complex and highly regulated environment, giving its legal team exposure to commercially significant matters and senior decision‑makers.

Description
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts relating to the domestic and international purchase and sale of goods and services.
- Advising commercial, procurement and operational teams on contractual risk and practical solutions.
- Providing initial advice on employment, HR and litigation matters, instructing external counsel where specialist support is required.
- Supporting the business with environmental, regulatory and competition law matters.
- Developing legal templates, guidance and processes to help the wider business manage risk effectively.
Profile
- A solicitor or equivalent with at 5 five years PQE.
- Experienced in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
- Currently working in private practice or in‑house.
- Experienced within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or other operational environments/clients.
- Comfortable supporting or coordinating advice across areas such as employment, litigation, environmental and regulatory law.
Job Offer
- A salary of £75,000-£85,000.
- A car allowance of £6,000.
- Hybrid working, with two days per week in the Lincolnshire office.
