Purpose of the role

Embed an effective finance business partner function, delivering accurate, robust in-depth analysis and management accounting information to difference stakeholders, whilst building strong relationship with all parts of the business

What the role will involve

  • Prepare detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and process improvement
  • Develop accurate and professional monthly management account reports
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis against budget and forecasts
  • Provide detailed financial and accounting reports to budget holders, partners, department heads and fee earners
  • Support budget holders, partners, department heads and fee earners to obtain in depth understanding of their finances, finance policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with budget holders, department heads and partners
  • Play a key role in financial planning, forecast and budget processes by providing detailed cost and revenue analysis and preparation of budgets and forecasts with budget holders
  • Ensure that budgetary control measures, accounting processes and reporting procedures are followed consistently within best practice and / or financial operating procedures.
  • Lead the development of management information tools, reports and systems to ensure reporting requirements are met, continuously improved, and adapted as required.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations where required
  • Support the preparation of the daily cash flow forecast
  • Design and document business processes and accounting policies
  • Support the continuous improvement and streamlining of finance procedures, reporting and system
  • Support the Financial Controller and finance team as required
  • Support the Finance Director with finance related projects and presenting reports to board members and senior executives
  • Manage team members

Successful applicants will be:
