Responsibilities
- Gather and monitor dynamic operational constraints such as demand, asset availability, water quality and abstraction limits
- Support the development and delivery of accurate, actionable production plans across multiple timescales
- Act as a super-user of production planning tools, ensuring data is accurate and up to date
- Monitor KPIs and system performance, identifying potential deviations and risks
- Investigate issues, support root cause analysis and help implement mitigations
- Work closely with operational teams to communicate plans and respond to changing conditions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning tools, processes and data quality
- Support maintenance and capital delivery by contributing to operational impact planning
- Build strong relationships across Water Services, Asset Health, Water Resources and wider stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in an operational or engineering role, ideally within the water industry
- Strong understanding of water treatment and distribution processes
- Knowledge of hydraulic principles
- Confident using complex software, data tools or models (e.g. hydraulic or planning tools)
- Experience working with operational stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in engineering, science or data-related fields (desirable)
