Project Controls Analyst
Location: Newcastle Upon-Tyne
Hybrid Working: Requires working from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.
Employment Security: Offer subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance; requires 5 years continuous UK address history (no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside the UK) at the point of application.
Responsibilities
- Support successful delivery as part of the project management office for large scale, high‑complexity programmes
- Use data analytics to uncover actionable insights and inform programme strategy via relevant tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Own and manage end‑to‑end operational data for large projects or programmes of work
- Work with delivery teams to understand status, issues, risks and put in place mitigation plans
- Plan, budget creation, management and control using a bespoke suite of programme management tools; including setting up plans, tracking progress, and reporting variances.
- Liaise with Commercial and Financial Management teams to ensure that programme and corporate finances are aligned and that the Programme is delivering to target
- Manage internal and client stakeholder relationships
- Responsible for identifying and driving continuous service improvement and process automation
Qualifications
- Experience working as part of a project or programme management office (PMO)
- Adept at managing complex plans and resource profiles over large programmes of work
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
- Experience of data analytics and tooling e.g. Power BI
- Experience in driving process automation and continuous service improvement
- Exceptional communication skills – including verbal, written, and presenting to groups
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to coach and mentor as part of a large team
- A keen interest in technology
