Strategic IT Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy development for IT non‑pay spend and manage the delivery team.
• Negotiate high‑value tenders and contracts for goods and services, achieving the most advantageous outcomes for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Sheffield Children’s Hospital Trusts.
• Lead national and regional South Yorkshire procurement initiatives.
• Operate effective information systems to ensure accessibility of data that adds value to decision-making.
• Achieve efficiency targets in line with the Trusts formal Cost Improvement Plans.
• Manage senior supplier relationships and contracts, building collaborative relationships to deliver positive outcomes for the Trust.
• Manage commercial risk in the areas of responsibility.
• Deputise for the Head of Corporate Procurement.

Working Arrangements

Hybrid working with a minimum of one day per week office attendance required at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. Initially, you may need to attend the site more frequently.

Team and Organisation

STH Procurement and Logistics team provides a procurement service to the five hospital sites in Sheffield (Northern General, Hallamshire, Jessops, Weston Park and Charles Clifford) and to Sheffield Children’s Hospital Foundation Trust.
