Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Homelessness Mobile Warden position in The City of Edinburgh Council’s Temporary Accommodation Service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare Temporary Accommodation properties to a high standard, ensuring they are appropriately furnished and adequately stocked within a specified timescale.
- Communicate effectively with contractors and utility companies to carry out any necessary repair work.
- Put customers first, respect and understand their concerns and needs when delivering services.
- Be sensitive and responsive to the needs of all customers, many of whom may experience significant challenges in their lives.
Qualifications
- Significant experience of working in a role involving cleaning duties, manual handling tasks or supporting clients within a housing association, council or similar organisation.
Regulatory Requirements
This post is regulated to work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undertake a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required, and the applicant must provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the completion of these pre‑employment checks.

Additional Information
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
