Salary: £33,000 – 65,000 per year
Requirements
- Experience providing hands‑on 2nd line SOC operational support
- Experience investigating and managing escalated incidents from a 1st line SOC
- Experience validating the quality and effectiveness of Sentinel alerts and detections
- Experience supporting the onboarding of log sources and priority use cases into Microsoft Sentinel
- Knowledge of CAF, T3, and ECS Keystone requirements
- Ability to develop and use KQL queries for triage, investigation, and validation of security events
- Experience providing operational support and guidance to L1 SOC teams
- Ability to perform basic tuning of analytic rules to improve signal quality and reduce alert noise
Responsibilities

- Support onboarding of log sources and priority use cases into Microsoft Sentinel
- Develop and utilise KQL queries to enable effective triage, investigation, and validation of security events
- Provide operational support and guidance to L1 SOC, improving consistency in alert handling and escalation
- Contribute to clearing the operational backlog, including rule validation, clean‑up activity, and onboarding delivery
- Perform basic tuning of analytic rules to improve signal quality and reduce alert noise
