Safe Door Industries Ltd in Carlisle is recruiting a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprentice to join the team in September. The role reports to the Finishing Supervisor and involves manufacturing a range of control systems, including variable and fixed speed drive systems, under the guidance of a qualified electrician.
Responsibilities
You will be trained in using machinery such as cutting and drilling machines, and other tools and techniques for manufacturing control equipment.
You will follow instructions from drawings, written and oral directions to produce the required items using appropriate processes and procedures.
This role is suitable for someone who is willing to work in a creative environment, manage multiple tasks and deliver them to the best of their ability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Genuinely interested in working as an engineering fitter.
- Hardworking and punctual.
- Dedicated to gaining a qualification in electrical engineering.
- Organised and able to follow instructions.
- Flexible and able to take on a variety of tasks.
- Willing to learn and take feedback.
- GCSE Maths, English and a science-based subject at grade 4/C.
Working Hours
Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-1:30pm.
