Server & Storage Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £60,000 – 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• L2/L3 level experience with Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure
• Design and implementation skills for Nutanix HCI
• Understanding of HPE enterprise server and storage platforms
• Knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Server technologies, including domain services
• Understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and core networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems is desirable
• Experience with Microsoft SCOM is desirable
• Experience configuring and hardening server management tooling such as iDRAC, iLO, and OneView is desirable
• Nutanix or Microsoft certification, or equivalent experience, is desirable
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

Responsibilities:

• Provide design and delivery solutions while reporting to the Infrastructure Solutions Manager
• Work within our IT Services team, focusing on IT design and L3 support
• Develop and embrace the latest technologies to create technical solutions that drive business success
• Deliver technical projects with a focus on Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure, HPE storage technologies, Microsoft Server operating systems, and Windows security technologies
• Provide technical leadership
• Design high-level and low-level solutions, implement them, and produce documentation
• Gather and document requirements
• Identify suitable solutions for current and future needs
• Carry out implementation and testing
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Meet project deadlines with confidence and professionalism
• Design solutions that meet customer business needs
• Address complex challenges using technical knowledge and experience
• Work efficiently in project environments, meeting time and resource estimates
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders
• Influence best practices and deliver process improvements
• Build and maintain relationships with remote teams
• Take ownership and accountability for products and services
• Plan, prioritise, and complete work effectively while remaining a team player
