Our multidisciplinary model brings together residential care, therapy, education, and behavioural support to deliver outstanding outcomes. We are now looking for an experienced Behaviour Analyst to join our growing clinical team and support our children’s homes across East Sussex.
The Role
As our Behaviour Analyst, you will lead on the assessment, development, implementation, and review of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies across our residential homes.
You will work closely with Registered Managers, therapists, and care teams to ensure behaviour support is ethical, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and embedded into everyday practice. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing staff, ensuring consistent implementation of behaviour support plans and promoting best practice across the organisation.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience working within UK children’s residential care or supported living services and understands the legislative and regulatory framework that underpins these environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and behavioural observations.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plans and behaviour support strategies.
- Analyse behavioural data and produce reports to measure outcomes and inform decision-making.
- Train, mentor, supervise, and coach residential staff in the implementation of PBS and ABA approaches.
- Provide ongoing behavioural consultation and guidance to Registered Managers and care teams.
- Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and proactive behaviour management.
- Work collaboratively with therapists, social workers, education providers, families, and other professionals.
- Ensure all interventions are trauma-informed, child-centred, ethical, and evidence-based.
- Support staff working towards PBS or ABA qualifications where appropriate.
- Contribute to service development, audits, quality improvement, and the continuous development of behavioural practice across SuperCare.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, or a related discipline.
- Registration with the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis (UK-SBA), BCBA certification, or currently working towards one of these professional accreditations.
- A commitment to maintaining professional registration through continuing professional development (CPD), supervision, and adherence to professional ethical codes.
- Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) within children’s residential care or supported living settings.
- Experience writing, implementing, and reviewing PBS Plans and Functional Behaviour Assessments.
- Experience working with children and young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, trauma, and behaviours of concern.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising staff in implementing PBS interventions.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, children’s legislation, and best practice within UK residential childcare.
- Experience supporting organisational development through behavioural leadership and service improvement.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, PACE, and person-centred approaches.
