Staff Nurse – Surgical Enhanced Care Unit

Are you a Registered Nurse with post registration experience, searching for career development within a supportive, multi‑disciplinary team where no two days are the same?

We are seeking two Registered Nurses who are either experienced in Enhanced Care or new to Enhanced Care to join our growing multi‑disciplinary teams.
The two vacancies are as follows:
- 18‑month secondment contract at 37.5 hours per week
- 12‑month secondment contract at 36 hours per week

- Specialist Enhanced Care induction & education programmes for all new starters
- A unit‑based, experienced MDT to provide a fully holistic approach to patient care
- Flexibility – contracts are available within a 12‑hour rotational shift pattern (days & nights) at Salford

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK.
Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

Person specification
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Part 1 Adult / General Level 1 or 2)
- Nursing degree or equivalent
Knowledge, Training & Experience
- Previous proven experience as a registered nurse
- Ability to work with all members of the MDT
- Effective communicator with evidence of dealing with stressful / emotive situations
- High dependency/Surgical experience
- Ward experience
Skills
- IT skills demonstrating the importance of clear accurate documentation
- Communicates succinctly, clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates ability to problem solve
- Demonstrates ability to reflect in practice
- Clinical systems – previous experience using a patient record system i.e. EPR, Sunrise
- Previous involvement in a continuous improvement project
