We are working with a highly successful, fast‑scaling FinTech platform that is fundamentally transforming data infrastructure and workflow automation across global financial markets. The business has proven product‑market fit and its AI‑powered platform is trusted by over 300 companies worldwide, including global banks, private equity firms, and asset managers. They are expanding internationally, building new products and investing heavily in technical leadership to run cross‑functional squads and drive ownership.
About the Role
You will be leading three engineering teams of 4‑7 people each, all cross‑functional. You will remain close to the code, focusing on systems design while partnering with teams to deliver. You will run career development for your direct reports, help build products from greenfield to launch, and take responsibility for delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building, delivering, and scaling mobile and backend systems from development through to production, especially in data‑intensive environments.
- Strong experience leading cross‑functional squads of backend engineers.
- Deep technical background and comfort discussing architecture, system design, API integrations, and modern application development.
- Proven track record of identifying high performers and advancing them within the organization.
- Experience working across multiple engineering domains and building strong partnerships with product, design, platform, AI, and data teams.
- Product‑ and customer‑centric mindset, ability to drive clarity through ambiguity, and end‑to‑end technical project ownership.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and align stakeholders.
