Principal QA Engineer – 5 days a week on site in Central Manchester

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Principal QA Engineer to join our Manchester team. You will be working in a close-knit product team, collaborating with colleagues daily, and acting as a lead voice for QA across the wider business. The role focuses on automation and modern testing technologies, with responsibilities around building and sustaining automation frameworks and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the development of automation frameworks and testing strategies.
• Collaborate with product, development, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Coach and mentor QA colleagues and act as a QA advocate across the business. This role does not include line management duties.
• Participate in Agile processes and promote best practices for quality assurance.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Enthusiasm and drive.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team player.
• Experience with software testing using Cypress, Selenium, Postman, Visual Studio, Android Studio, and Azure DevOps.
• Salary up to £70,000; location: Manchester; 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and other benefits.
• Contributory Pension.
