MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Job Title: Maintenance EngineerLocation: RochesterSalary: £45,000Shift: Mon – Fri – Days

Role Overview

The role of the Maintenance Engineer involves carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault‑finding and planned preventive maintenance on automated and semi‑automated production machinery. The engineer will also oversee stores and maintain knowledge of CMMS systems to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance duties on production machinery.
• Conduct fault‑finding and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance to improve reliability.
• Oversee stores and ensure accurate inventory management.
• Maintain and utilize CMMS systems for maintenance scheduling.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems.
• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Hands‑on experience with pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast‑paced industrial factory.
• Ability to work a continental shift pattern.

Requirements

• Hands‑on mechanical fault‑finding experience.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Electrical maintenance experience (relays, sensors, drives, contactors, single, three phase).

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
