Product Support Engineer

Office Based – Basignstoke; Monday to Friday. Salary £30,000 – £35,000. Full training & development.

The Opportunity

As a Product Support Engineer you will become a key point of contact for customers requiring technical assistance. You will provide first‑line telephone support, helping customers with everything from product queries and spare parts identification through to installation guidance, programming support and fault finding. You will work closely with the Technical Manager and wider engineering team, developing your product knowledge and becoming a trusted source of technical advice.

This is a fully office‑based role, Monday to Friday, offering the opportunity to enjoy a more consistent working environment while still remaining close to engineering and technical problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone‑based technical support to customers across the full product range.
  • Act as the first point of contact for technical enquiries.
  • Support customers with product selection advice, spare parts identification, installation guidance, programming assistance, fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Prioritise support requests and ensure customer queries are handled efficiently.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails and customer callbacks professionally.
  • Escalate more complex technical issues when required.
  • Work closely with the Technical Manager and wider support team.
  • Contribute ideas to improve technical support processes and tools.
  • Maintain and develop product knowledge through ongoing training and self‑development.
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service at all times.

About You

  • A formal qualification or practical experience within an electrical, electronic, mechanical or engineering discipline.
  • Some experience working within an engineering, installation, maintenance or technical environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a logical approach to fault finding.
  • Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
  • A willingness to learn and develop specialist product knowledge.
  • A professional approach with strong attention to detail.
