Job Title: Lead HVAC Engineer

Location: Glasgow/Cumbernauld (UK wide travel required)

Hours: 40 per week- Full-time

Salary: Competitive + Company vehicle

We are seeking an experienced and motivated LeadHVAC Engineer to join our Property Services team based in Glasgow, delivering maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and new installation projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HVAC professional who enjoys a varied role combining hands‑on engineering, project involvement, fault diagnosis, and site leadership. You will work across a diverse range of commercial environments, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Lead and support installation projects for new HVAC systems across multiple sites.
  • Conduct system commissioning, testing, and performance verification.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Supervise junior engineers, subcontractors, and site activities when required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Produce detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support project planning, material requirements, and workload scheduling.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Lead HVAC Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including:
    • Air conditioning
    • Ventilation systems
    • Heating systems
    • Refrigeration plant
    • Controls and BMS interfaces
  • F-Gas Certification.
  • Recognised HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Refrigeration qualification.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Desirable Qualifications
    • IPAF certification.
    • PASMA certification.
    • CSCS card.
    • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
    • Experience managing small installation teams and projects.
    • Knowledge of renewable and low‑carbon HVAC technologies.
