The Post
PSDS Payroll Services is accredited under the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals Payroll Assurance Scheme. We provide a fully managed payroll service to NHS Lothian, NHS Forth Valley, Strathcarron Hospice, NHS Fife, NHS Public Health Scotland, NHS Healthcare Improvement Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service, and NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
Payroll services handle a total pay bill in excess of £2.8 billion for approximately 90,000 employees and manage payroll for 9 health boards on a shared service basis. The team comprises about 100 staff.
Responsibilities
SSTS Officers work within the Scottish Standard Time System (SSTS) team, maintaining SSTS and providing training, coaching and support to all SSTS users. As a local system expert, the post holder delivers first‑line support, trains users in the use of the SSTS reporting system and Business Objects (BOXI), maintains system data, analyses reports and advises NHS Boards to maximise benefits from the system.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service who ideally has experience working with SSTS, ePayroll and Business Objects. You must understand the General Data Protection Act and possess strong team‑working and organisational skills. Please see the Person Specification for further details.
Location and Working Pattern
PSDS Payroll Services has office locations in Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy, Denny and Dumfries. Hybrid working is available with 36 hours per week on a Monday‑to‑Friday office‑hours basis, with flexitime.
Applicants must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post.
