At Crown Gas & Power, we’re one of the UK’s leading independent business energy suppliers, providing gas and electricity to businesses across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we’re expanding our Metering team and are looking for an organised, analytical and customer-focused individual to join us. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. If you enjoy working with data, investigating problems, using Excel to identify solutions and delivering excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our Metering team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our operational data is accurate, customer queries are resolved efficiently and industry processes are completed on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating meter installations, exchanges and removals.
  • Managing operational data and ensuring records remain accurate across multiple systems.
  • Investigating and resolving data discrepancies, meter reading exceptions and customer queries.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and third parties, providing excellent service via email and occasional phone support, including handling more complex metering queries.
  • Using Excel to analyse data, identify trends and support operational decision making.
  • Processing industry data and ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Producing reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

About you

You’ll be naturally organised, enjoy solving problems and take pride in getting the details right. You’ll be comfortable working with data, communicating with a range of stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and working with large datasets.
  • Experience in a customer service, operations, administration or data-focused role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to investigating issues.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.

Experience within the energy or utilities sector would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Why join Crown Gas & Power?

At Crown, you’ll join a supportive and collaborative team where your ideas are valued, your contribution is recognised and your development is encouraged.

In return, you’ll receive:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Annual bonus scheme
  • Flexible working hours
  • Free onsite parking
  • Onsite gym
  • Wellbeing support
  • Regular social and team-building events
  • Ongoing learning and career development opportunities

If you’re looking for a role where you can combine your analytical skills, customer service experience and attention to detail in a growing business, we’d love to hear from you.
