Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Clinical Engineering and Measurement Group within the Department of Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves managing devices across the equipment libraries on all four sites, supporting the technical team with administrative functions and ensuring efficient delivery and stock management of medical devices.

Responsibilities

Support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with technical and clinical internal staff, and external contacts. With a focus on adding value, the role contributes to the efficiency of an organisation through the support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. Typical day to day tasks would include using IT systems and databases, learning to manage administrative services, and developing project management skills.

  • Delivery and collection of medical devices to and from clinical areas
  • Adding information into our database
  • Being involved with medical device goods-in
  • Receipting new medical devices into the Trust
  • Stock ordering

Training and Apprenticeship

The purpose of this apprenticeship is to participate in a structured program of training which will include on the job experience, external training courses and completion of a Level 3 Healthcare Businesses Administrator apprenticeship.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be organised, have a high regard to detail & be able to concentrate for long periods. The role does involve a high degree of manual handling.
