M365 Technical Lead / Specialist – Contract

A leading organisation in the Cardiff area requires an M365 Technical Lead to join its growing team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

Duties include:

• Providing hands‑on technical lead for Microsoft 365, focused on Power Platform and Automation
• Owning the setup, oversight, and technical direction for M365 capability, supporting a process automation programme
• Acting as the technical point of contact between internal teams and 3rd‑party delivery partner

Other Responsibilities

The role also includes:

• M365 Technical Ownership – owning M365 configuration required for automation use cases and ensuring the environment is secure, scalable, and aligned to internal standards
• Power Platform & Automation Delivery – design and enablement of solutions using both Power Automate and Power Platform
• Supporting POC delivery for RPA / process automation with 3rd party
• Providing direction and governance to external delivery outputs
• Ensuring outputs are production‑ready or scalable
• Supporting rollout and enablement of M365 Copilot capability
• Aligning configuration, controls, and use cases to business needs
• Technical Governance & Assurance

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 (core services) and Power Platform (especially Power Automate)
• Experience supporting teams and acting as a senior individual contributor / technical lead
• Good understanding of governance, security, and regulated environments
