Job Description:

We’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Client Director to join the team.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across Tier 1 brands, targeting senior marketing and media decision-makers at major advertisers. With a proven record of revenue generation within data and advertising technology and a deep interest in digital media and innovation, you’ll thrive on selling data solutions to clients and partners.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll take a consultative approach to sales, building relationships with new and existing customers—from go-to-market strategy and client education to responding to RFPs and nurturing pipeline opportunities. You’re eager to learn, naturally analytical, and comfortable leading complex sales cycles. Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and expand strategic relationships with senior marketing leaders, brand managers, and media planning stakeholders at Tier 1 brands, positioning Samba TV as an invaluable strategic partner and essential component of clients’ core media and measurement strategies.
  • Drive revenue growth by delivering annual revenue targets through acquisition of new brands and expansion of existing relationships, developing and executing strategic account plans across key verticals.
  • Consistently exceed revenue goals through consultative selling, complex negotiations, accurate forecasting via CRM, and driving quarter-over-quarter growth through new logo wins and account expansion.
  • Lead business reviews and strategic planning sessions with clients, assess business objectives and challenges to formulate integrated solutions across Samba TV’s product suite, and craft compelling, data‑driven presentations that demonstrate deep industry knowledge.
  • Serve as an industry expert and thought leader within your assigned vertical(s), evangelizing Samba TV’s value proposition through client communications, events, and webinars while actively contributing market intelligence and competitive insights.
  • Navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles across marketing, media, insights, and data teams, fostering relationships across all key functions to establish annual partnerships and long‑term collaborative growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Data & Measurement Science, Account Management, and Marketing teams to deliver client success, develop case studies and performance metrics, and provide client feedback to inform product development and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of data, advertising technology, or programmatic sales experience selling directly to brands, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and closing complex, multi‑stakeholder solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in selling to Tier 1 brands and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close, with extensive contacts at top brands and agencies (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem including display, video, mobile, CTV, and programmatic platforms, plus knowledge of measurement, attribution, and data analytics landscapes.
  • Deep knowledge of client planning processes and marketing planning cycles, with an understanding of privacy regulations and their impact on advertising and measurement.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels with a consultative selling approach and talent for building value‑based partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker who can identify business objectives and translate them into solutions, highly driven self‑starter with obsessive focus on personal development and strong analytical problem‑solving abilities.
  • Collaborative team player who adapts well to change, works effectively in fast‑paced environments, handles multiple priorities with rigorous attention to detail, and is willing to travel and work across time zones as needed.
