You’ll be joining the content team behind one of the UK’s biggest and fastest-growing commercial radio networks. The difference you will make
As Head of Content (Daytime), you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Greatest Hits Radio. Your immediate priority will be leading the development, launch and ongoing production of Zoe Ball in the Afternoon, one of the network’s most high-profile new shows launching in September 2026. Working alongside the Network Content Director and senior leadership team, you’ll help define and deliver the station’s content strategy across on‑air, digital, social and on‑demand platforms. You’ll inspire and develop producers, collaborate with presenters and stakeholders across Bauer, and ensure every piece of content connects with our 44‑59 year old audience while supporting both audience and commercial growth ambitions.
Your role
You’ll lead the planning, production and delivery of outstanding daytime content across Greatest Hits Radio while helping drive the wider content strategy of the network.
- Direct responsibility for the daily production and delivery of Zoe Ball in the Afternoon (Monday–Friday, 1pm–4pm)
- Working with the Network Content Director to shape and deliver the Greatest Hits Radio content strategy
- Leading the planning and execution of daily on‑air output across the network
- Developing standout show features, content ideas and audience‑first editorial initiatives
- Managing editorial calendars and collaborating with social, events and marketing teams
- Leading and developing producers and assistant producers through coaching and feedback
- Working closely with presenters, talent and agents to maximise content opportunities
- Using audience insight, RAJAR data and analytics to inform content decisions and performance improvements
- Supporting commercial campaigns, partnerships and branded content opportunities
- Ensuring the highest editorial, compliance and brand standards across all output
The skills you will bring
- Significant senior‑level experience leading content within a radio, audio or broadcast environment
- A strong understanding of what makes compelling content for a mainstream audience
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing creative teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with high‑profile talent and agents
- Strong understanding of audience measurement, including RAJAR and digital analytics
- Experience using audience insight and performance data to shape content strategy
- Outstanding planning, organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of broadcast systems, scheduling and programming software
- A collaborative leadership style and passion for creating exceptional content
- A genuine enthusiasm for Greatest Hits Radio, its audience and the wider UK radio landscape
Working Pattern / Location
Permanent, full‑time office/studio role based in London.
