Occupational Therapy Graduate – Teaching Assistant Role

Specialist School | Ferryhill

Protocol Education is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapy graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant within a specialist SEN school in Ferryhill.

This role offers excellent experience for graduates interested in paediatric therapy, rehabilitation, or education. You’ll support pupils with autism, complex physical needs, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities while developing valuable practical skills.

Duties include:

  • Delivering individual and small-group support.
  • Supporting sensory integration strategies.
  • Encouraging communication and social development.
  • Assisting pupils with daily routines.
  • Monitoring progress and completing observations.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider school team.
