Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker

Location: Whiteparish, Salisbury (SP5)

Salary: £16.15 per hour

Overtime Rate: £5 per hour

Sleep-ins: £65 per sleep-in

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 160 hours per month

Employment Type: Permanent

Service: NEW Assessment Home

Number of Beds: 3

Service Users: Children aged 8–17 years with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

Role Overview

This is a new 3-bed assessment home supporting children aged 8–17 with EBD. The service focuses on providing structured, high-quality assessments to inform future placements, requiring consistency, resilience, and strong professional practice.

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to support the day-to-day running of the home.

You will play a key role in delivering structured care, supporting assessments, and acting as a positive role model for young people.

You will work closely with the management team to maintain high standards of care, ensure safeguarding practices are upheld, and contribute to a stable and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Children & Young People’s Workforce

Experience Required: Experience within Children’s Residential, Mental Health or Secure Unit settings

Eligibility Criteria

  • You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car.
  • You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent).
  • Candidates with only HealthCare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner qualifications will not be considered.
  • You require sponsorship – no sponsorship available.
  • Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home will not be considered.
