Community Care Assistant – St Albans

Abbots Care is an award‑winning domiciliary care company in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of outstanding. We provide community‑based care to service users in their own homes, helping them remain as independent as possible.

We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our team. The role will be particularly suitable for those who can work between 4pm‑10pm. Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.

You must hold a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. The right to work in the UK is required.

The role of a community care assistant includes:

• Providing support and care for service users within their own homes
• Supporting with personal care
• Preparing meals and domestic tasks
• Administering medication
• Supporting service users with hobbies and social interests

Pay & Contract Details

• Pay £13.50 per hour weekdays, £16.00 per hour weekends (included in Zero‑hour contracts)
• Part‑time or full‑time contracts up to 40 hrs per week (£26,665.60 per annum – £13.35 per hour)
• Shift patterns 7am‑2pm or 4pm‑10pm, including alternate weekends
• Paid mileage 40p per mile
• Paid training and DBS checks; opportunities for Level 2 and Level 3 diplomas
