Job Overview

This is a fixed term/secondment for 9 months, covering secondment. We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Cambridge Adult Locality Team for 9 months secondment cover for 15 hours per week. You should have a degree or relevant professional registration as an Occupational Therapist and will be an active member of a dynamic, highly motivated, skilled and creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, an ability to work under pressure and a desire for innovation. The Cambridge Adult Locality team service supports working‑age adults who have moderate to severe affective and psychotic disorders. We work in a supportive environment that values supervision and professional development, and offer a role in service development, interdisciplinary team dynamics, and close collaboration with external agencies and the local authority.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of diverse service users, delivering a diverse range of clinical skills and building therapeutic and recovery‑based relationships.
  • Work within an environment that encourages supervision, professional development and innovation.
  • Contribute to service development and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Collaborate closely with external agencies and local authority to support service users’ needs.

Qualifications

  • Degree or relevant professional registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • 15 hours per week commitment.
  • Strong teamwork ethic, sense of accountability and ability to work under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle; must be able to travel independently around the county and cannot rely on public transport.

Important Note

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You need to hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle. Public transport is not acceptable for this role.
