Job Summary

We are recruiting for six permanent countywide positions and two permanent positions in the Lincoln West Lindsey Locality Team. Salary: £30,024 – £32,597. Location: Lincolnshire (countywide and Lincoln West Lindsey). Closing date: 19th July 2026. Interviews: Week beginning 27th July 2026.

The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team is looking for motivated and committed individuals to join our newly established Post‑16 SEND Team as Caseworkers. As a SEND Caseworker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality SEND services for children and young people aged 0–16 or 16–25.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of children and young people who require special educational provision through an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan.
  • Coordinating and supporting statutory EHC needs assessments and annual reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and timescales.
  • Working closely with children, young people and their families to ensure their views, aspirations and desired outcomes are central to planning and provision.
  • Developing effective partnerships with colleagues across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector to promote a coordinated approach to support.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Council’s statutory SEND responsibilities and contributing to positive, measurable outcomes for children and young people.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of both pre‑16 and post‑16 SEND services across Lincolnshire, supporting continuous improvement in line with local priorities and national policy.

Qualifications

Essential: The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English (Fluency Duty, Part7 of the Immigration Act2016) is essential for the role. Skilled worker visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
