Join a community committed to driving forward the future of energy.## Job Description**Job Purpose / Overview**Working on a major nuclear power plant project, based on site 5 days per week, the Junior Surveyor will support surveying activities across construction works on site, assisting with setting out, surveying, data collection, and quality assurance to ensure works are delivered accurately, safely, and in accordance with project specifications. Key activities include:* Preparation of measurements on site* Operation of survey instruments* Processing of raw data* Preparation of computation to provide results to the Surveyor**Framework & Boundaries**The post holder will take instruction from the Surveyor in delivery of their work. They will be an advocate of our quality and safety culture and help to embed this approach in all processes and activities undertaken on the project. They will also be a champion of quality, ensuring that the works are constructed according to specification requirements.**Principal Accountabilities*** Take instruction from the Surveyor to support a range of classic survey operations.* Able to operate survey instruments to support activities on site.* Perform basic quality checks to ensure that survey work is carried out in accordance with schedule and quality.* Understand what specifications and documents are applicable to the activities and be aware of them.* Write the surveillance reports and technical documents to be approved by the Survey Team Manager.## My profile**Qualifications & Technical Skills required:*** Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in **Surveying**, **Quality**, or a related discipline.* Experience using survey instruments, particularly: + **Leica Total Station** + **Digital Level** + **Laser Scanner** + **GPS equipment** (Rover and Static)* Knowledge of survey data processing, quality assurance and quality control checks* Surveying and measurement techniques* Quality control and data verification* Project support and coordination* Technical problem-solving* Previous experience within a large industrial, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or project environment* Experience working within project teams and delivering work to required standards and deadlines.* Stakeholder communication* Planning and prioritisation* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.* Fluent in English.* Must already have the **legal right to work in the UK**.
