Ready to find the right role for you?Salary: £32,000 per annum plus annual bonus and Veolia benefitsGrade: 4.1Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon – FriLocation: Humber Lane, Tidworth, SP9 7AWWhen you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources and help it become a better place for everyone.Whether you’re looking to overhaul the industry, or just do a good day’s work, we know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.What we can offer you:25 days of annual leave plus bank holidaysRefer an Engineer to us once you’ve joined and earn £1000Access to our company pension schemeFree physiotherapy and 24/7 GP serviceDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailersAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental, and financial healthOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potentialWhat you’ll be doing:Follow all site rules and instructions, adhere to lone worker procedures, implement the “Stop the Job” protocol when unsafe conditions are observed, and report all safety concerns, non-compliance, accidents, incidents and close calls to managementConduct water quality sampling and collection of statutory/operational samples in accordance with UKAS-accredited ISO17025 standards, maintain detailed sampling records, and investigate water quality issues by liaising with customersCheck all equipment before use, report defects, ensure all equipment requiring calibration remains in date, and perform quality checksUse remote monitoring tools to verify plant condition, monitor consumables (bottles, Butane gas), record sampling data, and report all contractual non-compliance and regulatory communications via the Eco online (AVA) systemLiaise with the Team Manager, support emergency situations including troubleshooting and breakdowns, maintain good housekeeping practices, and ensure all work complies with performance management, quality management, health and safety legislation and environmental standardsWhat we’re looking for:Experience in water quality sampling and testing with knowledge of UKAS ISO17025 and DWI standards.Bachelor’s degree in environmental or relevant science, or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of health and safety legislation, lone worker procedures, and hazard identification in regulated environmentsEquipment operation, calibration, maintenance, remote monitoring tools, and quality management systems experienceAbility to investigate issues, troubleshoot breakdowns, and interact effectively with customers and team membersAccurate documentation and compliance record maintenance; proficiency with digital systems and accredited proceduresWhat’s next?Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.We’re proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
