Campsite Assistant – Great Langdale Campsite, Great Langdale, Ambleside, LA22 9JU
Overview
We’re looking for a Campsite Assistant to support our guests during their outdoor holiday at Great Langdale Campsite. In the National Trust, you will be known as an “Outdoors Holidays Operations Assistant.” Your main focus will be ensuring a clean, welcoming environment and delivering excellent service to all visitors.
Contract & Working Pattern
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract type: Zero-hour, fixed term until 27 September 2026.
Working pattern: Up to five shifts per week (37.5 hours total), 7:00 am to 9:30 pm, including weekends. Hours are flexible and schedules may change based on business needs; notice is given as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Maintain campsite and bunkhouse cleanliness and upkeep.
- Perform basic maintenance and report repairs.
- Serve as the friendly first point of contact for guests, greeting arrivals and assisting with enquiries or complaints.
- Manage reservations, their bookings and run the campsite shop when required.
- Support day‑to‑day operations to ensure guests meet National Trust standards.

- Eligibility to work in the UK.
