Assistant General Manager / Senior Floor Manager – Terry’s Cafe and Terry’s Bar & Grill.
Terry’s is one of London’s most established independent breakfast spots, known for quality produce, high-volume service and traditional hospitality. We’re looking for a strong senior operator to support the General Manager and help lead the next phase of the business. This hands‑on leadership role is for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and understands the balance between service, structure and standards.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the General Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the business.
- Leading front‑of‑house service and hosting busy breakfast/lunch shifts.
- Managing bookings, walk‑ins and table flow.
- Maintaining high service standards and customer experience.
- Training and motivating junior team members.
- Supporting coffee service and bar operations.
- Assisting with stock control, opening/closing and cashing up.
- Helping drive revenue through service, upselling and operational efficiency.
- Taking full ownership of the floor when required.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years in a senior hospitality role.
- Strong floor management and hosting experience.
- Confident with coffee service and bar operations.
- Cocktail experience preferred.
- Strong people‑management and leadership skills.
- Calm under pressure and solutions‑focused.
- High standards of personal presentation and professionalism.
- Commercially aware and customer‑focused.
- Passion for independent hospitality.

- Primarily daytime‑led shifts with occasional early evening finishes (no later than 11pm).
