Responsibilities
- Support individuals with complex care needs throughout the shift, providing assistance with medication, moving and positioning, catheter care, PEG feeding and dietary requirements.
- Apply lesson plans and meal‑time risk‑reduction plans, and work with nurses to manage acute conditions such as epilepsy, autism and intense interaction.
- Work scheduled shifts including 08:00‑15:00, 15:00‑22:00, 08:00‑22:00, 09:00‑14:00, 12:00‑19:00, 11:00‑18:00 and 22:00‑09:00 (two waking night shifts).
- Participate in mandatory training such as moving and positioning, EMFA, medication training and PEG site cleaning.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure care plans are followed and that individuals are encouraged to make decisions and live independently.
