Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Wakefield Depot. In this pivotal role, you will maintain and enhance our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, ensuring timely resolution of system breakdowns and ongoing optimisation of depot facilities and automation systems.

Work Hours

41.08 hours per week, rotating shift pattern:

• Week 1 – Day shift: 5:45 am – 2 pm
• Week 2 – Night shift: 9:45 pm – 6 am; Sundays 6:30 am – 1:30 pm
• Week 3 – Back shift: 1:45 pm – 10 pm

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of volume picking machinery through scheduled maintenance.
• Engage and manage external contractors.
• Immediate response to any breakdowns with production equipment in line with production hours.
• Assist and manage the delivery of supply chain technical projects.
• Stand, walk, lift (up to 15 kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum recognised Level 3 electrical and mechanical qualification.
• Experience working within a maintenance department.
• Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
• Experience fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Desirable Qualifications

• IOSH or NEBOSH certification.

Desirable Knowledge

• Management of a technical team.
