Reablement Support Assistant

Overview

Two temporary, part‑time posts (6 months) with salary £26,403 – £28,142 pro rata. Hours: 20 or 25 per week. Role: Reablement Support Assistant in the STARS team of Rochdale Adult Care Services.

Responsibilities

• Support older and vulnerable residents to achieve independent living.
• Assist with daily care activities and help residents maintain their dignity.
• Collaborate with health professionals to improve patient flow, reduce delayed discharges, and free up hospital beds.
• Provide motivation and encouragement to residents to participate in recovery activities.
• Safeguard residents and promote their welfare.

Qualifications & Experience

• Effective multitasker with excellent organisational skills.
• Own motorised transport to travel within the Borough of Rochdale.
• Motivated, forward‑thinking, professional and enthusiastic team player.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for supporting older people and vulnerable residents with a caring approach.
• Ready for enhanced DBS, including a barred list check (adult workforce).
