OVERVIEW
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a vital role within Enable by making a positive difference every day in the lives of the people we support. You will work with individuals with learning disabilities to help them achieve their goals and outcomes. Each support day is unique, yet you will consistently enable people to live with dignity, independence, and a sense of community.
SHIFT PATTERN
10:00am to 3:00pm (next day)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living tasks
- Assist with moving and handling, ensuring safety and dignity
- Deliver positive behavioural support to support self‑confidence and well‑being
- Expand and nurture social networks for supported individuals
- Maintain personal homes and gardens as appropriate
- Plan and accompany individuals for walks, leisure drives, or other activities as part of their routine
- Collaborate as part of a team to create a bespoke support plan for each person
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of autism or willingness to obtain training (Introduction to Autism, Adult and Child Support and Protection, Person‑Centred Approaches)
- Experience or enthusiasm for supporting individuals with learning disabilities
- Commitment to safety, wellbeing, and the aspirations of those supported

SALARY
£28,000 – £29,000 per year
